Purchase Price: $5.45 for 50 sheets
Purchase Place: Kroger
Rating: 3.5
Pros: Instantly removes excess oil. Won’t smudge makeup. Cool effect.
Cons: Very expensive. Needs more surface area.
Although I’m ashamed to admit it, I have a very oily face. Remember that Simpsons episode where Homer was trying to sell grease, and he went to a fast food clerk then wanted to steal that kid’s face oil for profit? I am that kid.
This product was definitely geared towards the females although I purchased it because I felt my face was extra oily that day. The blue pad instantly turns clear when wiped against oil. I was very amused/impressed within the first swipe. I got curious and tried other liquids such as spit and water which do not work so well. These sheets were designed to absorb oil.
The whole package can fit in your palm and was designed to be portable. I have it in my backpack and whip it out whenever I “feel” oily. I’m comfortable enough with my manhood to use oil absorbing sheets in public, although I’m pretty sure not everybody is willing to also.
I don’t plan on buying this product again since it’s so expensive. They do exactly what they claim but the price is equivalent to five bean burritos at Taco Bell. I found an alternative to these oil absorbing sheets although they are not as awesome. It’s called toilet paper.

You can also use those paper toilet seat covers. It’s the same type of paper…and alot cheaper if you just snag a few from the public restroom and cut them up into strips.

Still expensive, but a little cheaper alternative is the Mary Kay Beauty Blotters – same idea, but just $5 plus tax for 75 tissues.

This is a great product! I am excessively oily even though I also use an oil controlling product over my moisturizer in addition to face powder. I had also been using the Mary Kay beauty blotters for many, many years; however, I have found that the Clean & Clear work better at removing more oil and also mattifying the skin resulting in less shine hours later. I have found that I only need to use this product once maybe twice during the day. Yes, it is a bit pricey, but I have found a way to save a few pennies by clipping some coupons and using them whenever this item goes on sale. If you happen to be at the store and they are out of stock (which happened to me today) ask for a rain check. It’s worth it!

check out Item number: 220215087623 on ebay. These are generic sheets comparable to clean & clear. Qty of 50 for $1.00 and if you buy 6 or more, free shipping. They are the same as clean & clear. I submitted a best offer and got 200 packs for $150.00. It’s a great deal!

Actually, the toilet seat covers do not well at all. Also, you have to be careful when purchasing the 50 sheets or 100 sheets for one dollar or a couple bucks. I’ve tried many or the oil blotting sheets and nothing compares to Clean & Clear. Yes it is expensive but well worth it. Just remember, if you tried the oil blotters, see which one absorbs oil faster and uses less sheets. That’s right, Clean & Clear! Just trying to save everybody money.

I am crazy about oil absorbing strips, I probably go through 5 a day, no joke. My face is disgustingly oily but these definitely do the trick without drying my face out. I’ve been using them for like 7 years, and they’re the best invention known to man. :0) No joke!
