Kroger Ground French Roast Coffee

Imagine the finest cigar imported from the most exotic regions of Nicaragua. Now instead of smoking it, grind it up with a blender and throw it into a can of Kroger French Roast Coffee. I am by no means a coffee connoisseur but I can safely say that Kroger Coffee is dirt.

I like to have an occasional cup of coffee during my drive to school. Kroger French Roast Coffee does the job by waking me up, but the taste is most unbearable. Just for reference: I drink coffee with a little cream and no sugar. I also think Waffle House coffee is more awesome than Starbucks coffee.

This coffee is so acidic that I spilled some on my lap while driving and it left a scar (not really). I never seem to finish my coffee before I leave my car so I drink the rest when I get back at the end of the day. Kroger French Roast Coffee cold tastes like raw sewage.

I thought I would save a buck and give the Kroger brand a try. I would only recommend this coffee if you lost your sense of taste and want to wake up. I’m never trusting generic brand name coffee again.

V8 Splash Smoothies Strawberry Banana

Pros: Enriched with vitamins and crap. 90 calories per serving. 3g of protein.
Cons: Too pink. Where are the bananas?

Despite what many people may believe V8 Splash Smoothie drinks are really not that healthy. Sure, they are definitely better for you than the average soda, but nothing beats the original V8 Splash Tomato Juice(less sodium version) or just water. 

V8 Splash Smoothies Strawberry Banana is rich and smooth. It is easy to swallow and even easier to drink half the bottle in one sitting. The banana flavor was not really apparent. You know how when you throw a banana and milk in the blender, the smoothie tastes a little bitter because of the skin? Well this smoothie is nowhere near bitter but it does remind me of the banana skin layer and not the banana. 

Honestly, the whole drink did not really remind me of a smoothie. If the bottle did not say smoothie on it, I would have never noticed. Then again, I usually make my smoothies thicker than mud. Well mud is not a good analogy. I usually like my smoothies as thick as pudding. 

I was hesitant to buy this product because I try to avoid food that has too much artificial coloring, but at only $1.98, I had to give this product a try. This drink must be enjoyed cooled to the max. I left it in the car and while driving home, I almost puked pink. The V8 Splash Smoothies are worth trying but those in search of a healthy drink fruit drink should look elsewhere.
