Purchase Price: $2.99 for 12pk
Purchase Place: No idea
Rating: 1.0
Pros: Easily fits in wallet or purse for an on-the-go clean.
Cons: Tastes and smells like cheap toothpaste, gets your finger kinda nasty when it gets wet.

Rip, slip, brush, Ah… If you remember the commercial for this product, then you may also remember feeling pissed off at having seen one of the most annoying advertisements for an oral hygiene product. This shouldn’t, however, influence your opinion of the product itself. After you try one of these babies you’ll realize that Brush-Ups suck independently of the commercial. Not only do these remind you of the nasty, gritty taste of a tooth cleaning at the dentist, you get to look like an idiot while rubbing at your teeth with your finger. I can’t say my mouth feels significantly fresher after using one of these, partly due to horrible taste.

The novelty of Brush-Ups is really the only reason I could see to buy this item. If you want a clean teeth with this product, you’ll also want a sink and some napkins to wash the saliva and pseudo toothpaste off your finger… then you might as well get a toothbrush and brush your teeth instead of sucking on a piece of paper.

Final verdict: Brush-Ups are pretty useless. I really can’t remember a time where I was so desperate to clean my teeth that a piece of gum was insufficient.
