Purchase Price: $1.00 for 4 oz
Purchase Place: Dollar Tree
Rating: 1.0
Pros: Sugar Free. 40% fewer calories than regular Baskin-Robbins hard candy. Considered healthy among other hard candy. Cheap.
Cons: Only a four year old would consider this candy sour.

There are three flavors to Baskin-Robins Sour Sherbet hard candy which include: X-treme Berry, Green Apple, and Watermelon. The X-treme Berry is not so extreme. The Watermelon does not taste like a watermelon, and the Green Apple tastes like cough drops.

I personally enjoy sherbet ice cream because it’s not as bad for your health and I like fruit. I am the fruit master. What attracted me to buy this candy was the “Sour” label. I like sweet and sour candy. Sour Patch Kids is amazing. Maybe I was looking for a cheaper alternative. I didn’t find it.

Only wimps and four year olds would maybe consider this candy as “sour.” In fact, the weakness of the sour flavoring is insulting. Although there are quite a few positives, the only negative, which is the weak sourness, outweighs them all.

The bag clearly highlights the 40% fewer calories, and 0g net carbs. The candy is also sweetened with Splenda. This perhaps gives the candy a medicine/cardboard taste. I notice a lot of 0% while glancing at the nutrition facts on the back. That’s a good thing right?

If you want to sacrifice taste for health, then this candy might be right for you. This candy takes some courage to swallow. There are a few healthy cardboard tasting food that appeals to me. This candy is not one of them.
